Theshowopenswiththe"gossipoftheday"inwhichaHeddaHopper-izedHollandTaylormixestalesofthestudioera,circa1937,withthebehindthescenesstoriesofourfriendsatthemythicalSilverScreenPictures.Theplotthendevelops,oftencontainingcrudereferencestoreallifestarsofyesteryearcombinedwithfailedattemptsatwittydialogueandplotpointsthatareofteninconceivable,i.e.random"raids"onvariouspartiesandclubs,althoughprohibitionended4yearsearlier.Theshowendsthesamewayitbegan,withasometimesdrunkHedda-Hollandgivingusabitof"juicygossip"aboutour"favorite"stars,thenproceedingtoinsultthemonceherradiominuteisover.
