He was an actor and producer, known for Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977), The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes (1970) and Eye of the Needle (1981). He was married to Honor Arundel. He died on April 20, 1990 in Edinburgh, Scotland.
