简介：Malik Simmons was born and raised in a small town in southern Illinois. He is the youngest of four children. Malik graduated from Alton High School in 1995 and afterward he attended Illinois State University and SIUE. First exposure to filmmaking came when he observed the feature film The Big Brass Ring (1999) being shot in his hometown.
