简介：David Lee Hess was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Linda Lee Hess (Yerion) and James Albert Hess, package store proprietors. Hess moved to Austin and attended the University of Texas where he graduated with degrees in English, History, Philosophy, and Communication. At Texas State University in San Marcos, he received a Masters degree in Communication.
