简介：Prabhadevi was born in Calcutta on the 12th of August 1903. She entered the stage at about the age of eight and went on to become one of the leading stage personalities of Bengal. Like most actresses of her time she acted in films, also, her first screen appearance being Matri Sneha (1923).
