He became interested in acting while attending Queensboro Community College, where he starred in several plays (Murray Schisgal's The Tiger, The Merchant by Plautus, Lovers and Other Strangers by Renee Taylor and Joe Bologna, The Brute by Chekhov and The Doctor In Spite of Himself by Moliere).
