As a student, she gained considerable experience as an actress on the stage; she played Dorton in Moliere's 'Tartufft', Araminta in 'The Philanthropist', Sasha in Chekhov's 'Ivanov', Rita in Keith Washington's 'Billy Liar' and Louise Machel in Bracht's 'The Last Days of the Commune'.
